1. Is the cartel running a regulated blogosphere that prevents leftists from creating their own blogs or group blogs?
2. Are jackbooted, leather jacketed staats polizei forcing people to read those blogs?
3. Does Amit Varma have no right to restrict comments in the blog and prefer emails to cut down on the comment-abuse?
If the answer is no to the three questions, the longest comment is a waste of space.
P.S. I am not in the cartel.

Quizman,
I think , it is a little different from this.
Consider people who want to discuss the matter, however feel constrained to discuss with e-mails.
I do not care about comments policies as such, but if there is no comment policy in general I do not mail.
Regards
dg,
Fair. I just argue in my own blog and email the chap(s) who have no-comments policies, hoping that they will respond.
The cartel is very cohesive and quick to gang up and usually kill of their opponents by numbers and relentless minutae analysis. Also, they dominate the blog mela. Simple to follow aint it.
